Complete All Encompassing Repatriation Service

Slaters International offer an all-encompassing complete Repatriation Service taking care of each and every aspect for complete peace of mind. The expert team can arrange repatriation of the deceased from anywhere in the UK to any destination worldwide.

Care of the deceased

As part of the Complete Repatriation Service offered by Slaters International, the deceased is cared for by an expert team of professionals within modern state of the art facilities.

  • Complete Temperature Controlled and Refrigerated Mortuary Facilities

  • Full Tropical Embalming Service by a fully qualified Embalmer

  • Islamic and Kosher Embalming Service

  • Washing, Dressing and Grooming of the deceased by same sex technician

  • Facilities for family participation and / or Religious wash and dress rituals

  • Long term care of the deceased if required

Visitation of the deceased

Slaters International have Private Chapels of Rest at their premises across London and Birmingham, in which family and friends can pay their last respects to their loved one prior to the repatriation taking place. Alternatively, an open casket viewing can be arranged at facilities close to the family home such as a Church or other place of worship.

Supply of Coffins and Caskets

Slaters International offer a range of Hermetically Sealed Coffins and Caskets suitable for repatriation of the deceased from the UK to anywhere in the world. Some Caskets are only suitable for Burial upon arrival. See Brochure.

Complete Documentation Service

Slaters International take care of all necessary documentation for Repatriation, issuing required certificates and obtaining permits from H.M. Coroner, Embassies, Consulates and foreign health authorities to ensure the repatriation can take place.

Memorial Service

Prior to Repatriation, you may wish to hold a local Memorial or Church Service for family and friends to attend in the UK. Slaters International can assist in making the arrangements for this prior to the deceased being conveyed to the airport for Repatriation. Traditional Hearses and Limousines are available if required.

Homecoming Flight

Working with a number of booking agents, Slaters International are able to secure the best rates and availability for flights from the UK to the repatriation destination for the deceased. Slaters can also assist in booking tickets for family and friends who wish to travel on the same flight as their loved one.

Coffin Sealing and Preparation

Prior to Repatriation, Slaters International ensure the Coffin or Casket is sealed to International Standards with a hermetically sealed lining. If necessary the Coffin is taken to the required embassy for their official seal then packaged into a Flight tray with a cardboard lid for protection during transit.

Conveyance to the Airport

Following the preparation and sealing of the Coffin, Slaters International convey the deceased to the airport ready for their final departure from the UK to be laid to rest in their homeland.

Guardian to the Grave - only with Slaters International

Slaters International are proud to be the only International Repatriation Corporation to offer the Guardian to the Grave Service.

For complete peace of mind one of the Slaters International Experts can accompany the deceased from the UK to their final resting place to ensure a smooth transition throughout the process.

Edward Cutler, Managing Director recently arranged the repatriation of a gentleman who lived in the UK but originated from Cyprus. Edward made all of the arrangements and travelled to Cyprus, assisting on the Funeral in Limmasol.
